I've been wanting to get some pastries from Jina Bakes the last time I was in Japantown, but they were mostly sold out. Lucky this time I came early-ish in the day. I got the lemon poppy seed cake, chocolate kouign amann, hojicha cream puff, and the basque cheesecake. Everything was amazing. I especially liked the cream puff and cheese cake. The lemon poppy seed cake was a little too sweet for me personally, it was still delicious.

Jina sure bakes. I was pleasantly surprised by all three items I ordered Kalbijim croissant - light flaky croissant with a little bit of savoriness. Black sesame puff - wow. Just wow. I did not expect all of that sesame cream inside that little puff. It's a must try! Croffle- it was good don't get me wrong. Just not something I would run towards personally. I've tried I'm good. Looking forward to my next visit

Sizeable, delicious pastries but very pricey. Everything is $1 or 2 higher than I would expect. I also wish the store opened for longer hours We ordered the tiramisu and matcha green puff. The tiramisu was the star - creamy, light, and importantly not too sweet. The cream in the cream puff was really good but the puff was a bit hard and could have been served warm.

Injeolmi (home made Korean rice sweet rice cake)croissant: The best thing about these injeolmi croissants, is that the rice cakes are wonderfully stretchy when they're warm, so you get that gooey "cheese pull" effect. (It's part of the kalbijjim croissant's appeal as well--and one of the reasons the bakery has a dedicated oven for reheating pastries.) Croffle: a delightful light snack with a sweet glazed waffle crust hiding buttery soft & chewy croissant layers within. The honeycomb latte will melt the honeycomb crumble and make it sweeter over time. Just eat the crumble to stop sweetening the drink.
